TEXARKANA, Texas — An appeals court in Texas upheld a woman’s conviction for assault against a peace officer. She was accused of assaulting a Department of Public Safety trooper and several others when they investigated her car, which was parked behind a cafe’s dumpster. The cafe owner said the woman came at him “like the exorcist” when he approached her car.
