MANHATTAN — Fired by longtime Atlanta Braves slugger Freddie Freeman, sports agent Casey Close claims in a federal complaint that Fox commentator Douglas Mitchell Gottlieb lied and defamed him with a tweet that said Close kept Freeman in the dark about the Braves' "final offer” because he "knew Freddie would have taken the ATL deal."
