Beat up by Superman

BALTIMORE — A Maryland family that is suing Six Flags after their 17-year-old son’s right eye socket was fractured as he rode the Superman: Ride of Steel rollercoaster at Six Flags America in Upper Marlboro, Md., will continue to pursue their claims in federal court. The theme park company wanted to remand their claims to state court, but the family seeks $95,000 in damages, exceeding the federal jurisdictional requirement of $75,000.
