Childish Gambino keeps attorney fees

MANHATTAN — The Second Circuit upheld the $286,400 in attorney fees awarded to Donald Glover, the “Community” actor known also as hip-hop artist Childish Gambino, fees after he prevailed over rapper Kidd Wes’s copyright infringement lawsuit alleging that Glover’s 2018 hit “This is America” ripped off the flow in Wes’s song “Made in America.” Glover originally requested $934,600 in attorney fees, and Wes challenged the reduced award, but the appellate judges found no error in the court’s judgment.
