Confiscating guns OK’d
RICHMOND, Va. — The Fourth Circuit upheld the dismissal of a driver’s lawsuit after his Mustang was towed and his guns, a grenade and tactical gear were found and held by police, who checked on him because he was parked in an unauthorized area near a road that runs between Arlington Cemetery and the Pentagon. The car had to be towed because the driver did not have license and registration on him, and they had a reasonable interest in safekeeping his belongings so that he did not walk past the Pentagon with a collection of weapons.
