ST. LOUIS — A trans woman and former marine who works for Veterans Affairs is suing the agency, claiming she was denied promotions because of her gender identity. One member of the interview panel testified that other members, as well as the selecting official who would decide who filled the position, made discriminatory comments about the trans employee, for example by calling her “it” and “thing.”
