California Governor Gavin Newsom and Democratic leaders announced an agreement Monday to extend the Golden State’s moratorium on evictions through June 30 and said it will send $2.6 billion in federal Covid stimulus money to struggling renters and small landlords.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California Governor Gavin Newsom and Democratic leaders announced an agreement Monday to extend the Golden State’s moratorium on evictions through June 30 and said it will send $2.6 billion in federal Covid stimulus money to struggling renters and small landlords.
