AUSTIN, Texas – A federal court in Texas ruled that a woman may pursue First Amendment claims against Texas state Representative Lois Kolkhorst. The woman claims her comments on Kolkhort’s Facebook page opposing the senator’s anti-transgender “bathroom bill” in 2017 were deleted.
The senator’s management of the social media page did not constitute “government speech,” according to the court.
