Gervin the man, Gervin the sneaker

MANHATTAN — The retired professional basketball star George Gervin claims in a federal complaint that the fashion house Ralph Lauren is profiting off his name with the release of a retro-style of high-top basketball sneakers called "Gervin Mid."
