Muse Misunderstanding

MANHATTAN — A Brooklyn-based Japanese tattoo artist named Takashi Matsuba sued over a new documentary in which the heavily inked rapper known professionally as Tekashi69 or 6ix9ine calls Matsuba a heroin addict and the inspiration for his "whole fucking world."

Matsuba seeks damages for defamation, reputational harm and invasion of privacy from Showtime Networks and 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez.

Read the complaint here and 2019 coverage of Tekashi 6ix9ine's criminal entanglements.
