Prisoner denied medical supplies

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A federal court in Arkansas ruled that a state prisoner may pursue his Eighth Amendment claims against medical providers who took away his ileostomy pouch, which he had obtained in a hospital, and denied him supplies other than 10 four-by-four sheets of toilet paper to catch waste from his lower intestine. He plausibly argued that three officials’ conduct constituted deliberate indifference to his serious medical needs.
