SAN DIEGO — Matthew John Anderson, a former biologist at the San Diego Zoo, was sentenced in federal court in California to six months in prison for embezzling more than $236,600 from the zoo. Anderson had worked at the zoo for 17 years and defrauded it over the course of eight years.
